Gay Does Not Equal Crap, Your Math Is Wrong

They can tear people down, and build people up.

They can mean absolutely nothing, and they can mean absolutely everything.

In this society, people frivolously use words like “faggot” and “gay” without considering the repercussions of their careless language.

We were given a mind to use caution, discretion, and prudence. We were given a mind and heart to care for people, not to fester hatred.

Bullying is a problem, especially for LGBT people. The definition of “gay” has evolved. The fact that “gay” and “crap” are used synonymously is not right.

Let me put this into perspective, “23% of gay or bisexual young people have tried to take their own lives and 56% have self-harmed.”

Verbal bullying has the power to tear people down. We need to make a change.

Stonewall is a gay charity with a campaign who is fighting anti-gay language. I will encourage you to learn more about this charity, and to support them.

The only way to change is through exposure to an alternate way of doing things.

Will you stand up for those who are cast off to the wayside? Will you be a voice to the unheard?

Political Cartoon Tuesday

Hello friends!

What a beautiful Tuesday this is. You know what would make your Tuesday even better? This cartoon. I mean, who doesn’t like cartoons? Here it is…

This may come across as offensive, I’m sure. I’m sad to say that marriages do happen like this. I’m not saying all of them occur in this manner, but nonetheless, this does happen.

Take “What Happens In Vegas” for example.

This movie, released in 2008, is about two people that get married in a drunken haze while in Vegas. They stay together at first because of the million dollars they win at the lottery. Although this storyline is from a movie, it happens all the time. People get married and stay married for all the wrong reasons these days.

According to, the divorce rates in America as of 2013 are above 50%, I don’t see why gay people shouldn’t allowed to be married. SHouldn’t same sex couples be allowed to either be just as miserable or just as divorced as everyone else? Someone needs to save marriages, maybe it’s gay people.

Gay people aren’t ruining the sanctity of marriage, it’s people like those pictured in the cartoon above. People marrying for the wrong reasons ruin the union of marriage.

Someone Hasn’t Lost Their Head…

Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

In case you don’t know whom this lovely woman is, Ruth Ginsburg is a Supreme Court Justice in the United States. She not only supports gay marriage, but she married her two gay friend’s marriage. Thank goodness we have someone like her holding a position in the Supreme Court.

“Ginsburg said equality has always been central to the Constitution…”

This is a crucial point to bring up. I don’t believe everyone realizes how the document our country was founded on distinctly touches on how all people are equal, including gay people.

Ginsburg continues on, “So I see the genius of our Constitution, and of our society, is how much more embracive we have become than we were at the beginning.”

Let them get married like everyone else.

Accept all people. Everyone deserves love.
